Rowe Reserve was named after the Rowe’s who owned a newsagency and boarding house (which was where the Chinese restaurant is now). Downstairs was a milk bar/newsagency and general store run my Mr H F Rowe and upstairs was the boarding house run by Mrs Rowe (they owned from approx. 1936-1957).
