New home for Community Transport officially opens

Today the new Riverland office for the Red Cross was officially opened in Berri. It is great to see that Red Cross have moved into our region (30 Kay Avenue, Berri) and that they will be providing a range of services including the Community Transport Services that were formally provided by Council..

10MW Berri Solar Power Generation Facility project

Berri Barmera Council subject to the signing of the Power Purchasing Agreement with Accolade Wines has adopted the Capital Budget for the establishment of the solar farm on Moritz Road Berri.

Proposed Barmera Off Leash Dog Park

Council is seeking feedback for potential sites in Barmera for an Off Leash Dog Park. Two sites have been identified through internal consultation with the Barmera Town Beautification Committee and have been recommended for consideration. • Bruce Oval (parallel with Scott Ave) and • Johnny Baynes Park, Amy Street, Barmera. These have been identified as locations that provide accessibility, car parking, amenities and a suitable dimension for the park. The feedback forms must be returned prior to Friday 13 October 2017

We need your help - KESAB Application 2017

Are you a recycler, school, business or community group in Berri that has undertaken a project or initiative over the past two years or have one in the planning stages? We need your help for an entry for Berri into the 2017 KESAB Sustainable Communities program following Barmera’s success in the program over the past few years. Project ICE Riverland

Project ICE Riverland will be holding a FREE community forum in the Berri Town Hall on Sunday September 24th from 5.00pm to 7.30pm. The Forum will explore potential solutions for the ongoing drug and alcohol issues within the Riverland.

Funding success for the proposed Berri Riverfront Wharf project

7 July 2017
The Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, Hon Stephen Mullighan MP recently announced that the Berri Barmera Council’s proposed Berri Riverfront Wharf has been successful in securing nearly $600,000 in funding for the $1.199M project.

Road Works - 5 July 2017 Crawford Terrace

3 July 2017
Stormwater works will be commencing on Crawford Terrace, Berri on Wednesday 5th July 2017. The project is estimated to take approximately four working days to complete. During this time there will be minor disruptions to those who travel up Crawford Terrace to Bookpurnong round about. Traffic wishing to exit Berri via Crawford Terrace, will need to find an alternate route (ie via Vaughan Tce). Traffic from the roundabout on Crawford Terrace coming into Berri will be able to continue as normal. If you have any queries, please contact Council on 8582 1922

Increase in Fines under Dog and Cat Management Act
